A new (ish) brunch spot in Newcastle you’ll love
You know that I love nothing more than discovering new foodie spots so was super excited to visit the newly opened Olive Kitchen for brunch.

Brunch is my favourite meal of the day and so this is just my kind of place.
What’s the vibe at Olive Kitchen?
The decor is lovely; casual and relaxed and the friendly staff add to the chilled vibe of this place.

But onto the main bit – the food.
Our menu highlights at Olive kitchen
The menu is great – just the right amount of options to give you loads of choice, without it feeling overwhelming (those of you who are undecisive – because same – will know what I mean).

I opted for the VEGAN BAD BOY (quorn patty with lettuce, onion, tomato, vegan cheese, vegan mayo in a toasted vegan bun) and our other option was the PERI PERI CHICK (peri peri marinated chicken breast).
They were both delicious, fresh and prepared really well. The burgers come with a choice of fries and sweet potato fries so we had one each and shared.

I am not usually a sweet potato fries girl but these were lovely – perfectly crispy.
And since the cakes looked delicious, we also opted for dessert too; we went with the recommended Nutella cheesecake (my word – that was goooood! So soft and creamy but not too sweet, absolutely my kind of dessert) and a Chocolate Malteser slice which was just as tasty with whole Malteasers inside.

Why we’ll be back at Olive Kitchen Newcastle
We are definitely brunch people and found this to be a cute addition to the brunch scene in town.
I also spotted a few breakfast menu items that I really like the look of, so we’ll be heading back at some point to try few more dishes.
Whether a little brunch date as it was in our case, or a catch up with friends over a coffee and a delicious pastry, this venue is a great option.
Location:
Olive Kitchen is located at 4 Marlborough Crescent, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE1 4EE. There is some limited on street parking available.

Tips for visiting:
The opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 8:30am – 3:30pm and closed on Sunday
The venue is spacious so great for larger groups or people with children in pushchairs which will be appealing to a lot of young families.

Try their desserts and coffee – even if you don’t fancy a full meal, pop in for a coffee and a sweet snack – they are delish!
They have recently added pancakes and have a new kids menu
