Sunday dinner at Cog and Wheel
Warning: This content will make you crave a Sunday dinner!
We’ve been to Cog and Wheel for drinks and bottomless brunch before, but we’ve never actually had a Sunday dinner here, and all I can say is I wish we’d tried it sooner! Everything was absolutely delicious, really hearty and wholesome.
Delicious Sunday dinner options
We opted for the vegetarian dinner, which came with 3 sausages, and the spice-rubbed beef. We also shared two sides – pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese.
I am very particular about my Sunday dinner and I rarely find them impressive, but I really enjoyed every little thing at Cog and Wheel. The portions were huge (always a big plus), the vegetables were perfectly al dente (which is just how I love them), and there was a good balance of protein, carbs, and veggies on the plate. Not to mention the Yorkshires—wow wow wow wow! The pics really say it all—they tasted as good as they look. Pure Yorkshire pudding perfection.

We were both truly stuffed; with these portion sizes, make sure you come hungry.

I also had a melon cocktail, and we discovered a new grapefruit beer. I am not a beer drinker, but I had a little taste and it was actually really nice. I also love how creatively they name their cocktails! Cog on the Tyne, Kanye Zest, Cockteas, or Tinchy Cyder are just some of my faves – and I always look forward to checking out their new menu because they are always super creative!

Why we love Cog and Wheel
We’ve always enjoyed the food, drinks, and the quirky decor at Cog and Wheel, and now that we’ve tried their Sunday dinner, we’ll definitely be back. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more. Chef’s kisses!
