Burger Drop Newcastle
When we tried Burger Drop for the first time, my only disappointment was that we hadn’t had it before! They’re not kidding when they say that it’s ‘Probably the best damn burgers you’ll ever eat!’—the food was amazing.

The menu
The menu is just the right size so that you get a lot of options for both burgers and sides, but it’s not overwhelming, and you know that each item is there for a reason, and the menu has been mindfully put together. I love that they offer Platters and ‘Burger Drop Experiences’ so if you aren’t quite sure what you fancy, this will have you covered as it has a selection of their most popular items.
The Texas smoked brisket burger we opted for was impressive, packed with tender, smoky brisket that melted in your mouth. I got the vegetarian burger, which was incredibly flavourful, with a perfect blend of spices and textures that made it a standout from many other veggie burgers I have had before.
The cheese-loaded fries were the perfect accompaniment, with gooey cheese smothered over crispy fries that also added a delicious kick.
The sizes of both of our meals were quite generous, so you’re sure to feel satisfied when you leave!

They also do some pretty amazing desserts. We really enjoyed their brownies (super tasty and perfectly chocolatey), but I also spotted a new menu item: IceBurgs. They are described as ‘deluxe soft serve ice cream served between two pieces of sweetened, crispy brioche’ and look amazing. Next time we go I will be sure to try them, and will of course let you know what I think!
Why we love Burger Drop
Every burger is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From the perfectly seasoned vegetarian patty to the succulent smoked brisket, Burger Drop is the best-selling burger on Uber Eats in the North East for a good reason!
The high-quality ingredients and mouth-watering flavours make it a must-visit. If you’ve not been yet, I’d definitely add it to your list—the diverse menu options mean that whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or a meat-eater, if you like a good burger, you’ll not be disappointed.
We visited Burger Drop Heaton which is located at 33 Heaton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE6 1SB. The closest Metro station is Byker, a 10-minute walk from the venue and there is free on-street parking on Heaton Road and the surrounding area.
Tips for Visiting:
- Burger Drop has several branches so you can easily find one near you
- Eat in and take away options available
- Good portion sizes – you may need a doggy bag!
- Try their desserts. I love their brownies and will be trying their IceBurgs next time!
