Why we love dining at Victors Newcastle
If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know that we come here a lot; it is our go to for special occasions; it really is one of our most loved places in town.
The decor is stunning, the food is delicious and beautifully presented, the staff are friendly, and it is right on our doorstep.

Victors Newcastle menu highlights – top dishes you can’t miss
I am sure we’d worked our way through the whole menu at least twice, and we’ve certainly have our favourites.
- Victors sushi sets are iconic, and we’ve had them several times now. Not only do they taste amazing, but they’re also real showstoppers when they arrive at your table. If you a first time visitor, or come for a special occasion – this is the one thing you can’t miss! It is a gorgeous mix of some of their most popular sushi and it is one of the top sellers for a reason.

- Scallops are both of our favourites — perfectly cooked with a delicate, buttery flavour

- Truffle mac n cheese – another item we’ve had many times here; it is always delish with a lovely crumb on top. Super moreish and cheesy without being too much.

- Truffle fries are another staple for us — crispy, seasoned perfectly, and you can smell that irresistible truffle aroma as they arrive at your table. So decadent and delicious.
- Crab tacos are a personal favourite of mine; I order them every single time, since our very first visit. They’re fresh, tasty, have the loveliest combination of textures. I adore them.

- The crab sushi is also fantastic, fresh and full of crab meat.

- The truffle and red potato pizza – anything truffle is always a win, but this was seriously good. Just like their truffle fries, which are also our staple order here

- The Grilled Seabass & Brown Shrimp – a perfect seafood dish in my opinion. The fish was cooked perfectly and the mix of shrimp the roast tomatoes just elevated the whole plate. I enjoyed it with a lovely Candy Shop Marg mocktail.

- The Hot Honey Chicken Burger; it looked lovely and the smell was insane, it was succulent and very flavoursome.
- The Cucumber and Watermelon Salad – lovely and refreshing and I loved how the cucumber was cut into spaghetti lengths rather than chunks. I also enjoyed the addition of roasted cashew nuts, a lovely side salad

Why you shouldn’t skip dessert at Victors
And you cannot come to Victors and not order a dessert; their pastry chef absolutely deserves a shoutout because, as I always say, I am more of a starter than a dessert person, I never skip a dessert here! My faves are:
- Raspberry bomb Alaska – I had it a few times, it is one of the best desserts you can find in the North East; it has the theatrical factor when it arrives at your table but trust me – this isn’t the best part of it. The taste is UNREAL, sweet but little tangy, melts in your mouth and the portion is super generous so can easily be shared.

- Pistachio cheesecake -I don’t like cheesecake unless it’s Cheesecake Factory or Victors. It is beautiful and one you definitely don’t want to share

- Key Lime Pie – it’s got that perfect tangy zing but it is also sweet at the same time. The creamy filling and crumbly base make it feel light but still really decadent. Delicious.

Why we keep going back to Victors Newcastle
We come here a lot and not just because it’s close to home and because we both love pan Asian food. There is so much more to this place:

- The decor is lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- The food is always delicious and fresh.

- The menu changes regularly but keeps all the popular dishes, so you can always enjoy your favourites.
- The location is fantastic – right on the Quayside.
- They serve lovely cocktails that complement the whole experience.

Location:
Victors Newcastle is located at 106 Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 3DX, with the nearest parking available at Quayside Car Park (NE1 2HJ), just a 5-minute walk away.

Tips for visiting:
- Don’t skip dessert – even if you’re usually more into starters, the desserts here are amazing.
- Book ahead, especially on weekends or bank holidays, as it’s a popular spot.
- Let the team know if you’re celebrating – they often add a thoughtful touch.

- Dress smart casual; the stylish setting makes it ideal for dressing up a little.
- Visit midweek for a quieter, more relaxed dining experience.
- If you don’t fancy a meal, you can just enjoy a drink at the bar. It is lovely.
- If you love sushi or anything truffle, you’ll find plenty of standout options.
