Why we keep coming back to Caspian Kebab & Pud Desserts

We love to go out for food but we also LOVE a good takeaway and we’ve been big fans of Caspian Kebab since we tried them a while ago (they never disappoint – read my last review here).

New menu picks you need to try

We usually get their Naanbab (Kebab Box) which is a huge portion ofChicken, Kofteh, & Donner served on top of a naan with salad, chips; we normally get their chilli and garlic mayo too.

But they have just updated their menu and so we had to try some of their new menu items.

We went for:

• Kiev Bolognese pizza – now that’s a combo you never knew you needed, but once you try it, you’ll wish you’d tried it sooner. It is gorgeous. The flavour combination is something else and their pizza crust is out of this world. I could honestly eat the crust on its own, dipped in their chilli and garlic sauce. Sooooo delish!

• Peri peri chicken burger with Cajun fries – the burger was HUGE and the chicken super tender. It had a little kick to it but it wasn’t spicy; just a hint of heat with a distinct peri peri flavour. Gorgeous.

• Hot honey tenders with red salted fries – sweet, sticky, crunchy, and so tasty. You just have to try them for yourself.

• Side salad – I always get their side salad, it’s my fave! So fresh, crunchy, and a little tangy of the pickles – just the best.

• Chili and garlic sauce– a must with any order. They are addictive.

Why we rate Caspian Kebab

We have been a few times and these guys just never disappoint! I am seriously impressed with their new menu; it’s so well thought out and everything is simply delicious.

Caspian Kebab Birtley and Pud Desserts Birtley are located at 18 Talbot Terrace, Birtley, DH3 2PQ. There is free parking opposite the shop, in the Morrisons supermarket, as well as a small car park behind the building.

Tips for Visiting

• While it is mainly a takeaway, they have a cozy dine in section if you prefer to dine in. They also deliver locally.

• The portions are huge, so definitely come hungry.

• The menu is varied and they get creative with new menu items; be open minded and try something new. We did and we loved it!

• Double up on the sauce – both chilli and garlic are fantastic and you really need to try both.

• Weekends can get busy, so it’s a good idea to order early for collection. We usually preorder so we never wait long
