EL&N London, Fenwick, Northumberland Street, Newcastle, NE1 7AS
We were super lucky to be invited to the preview night of EL&N Café, located within Fenwick in Newcastle. If you’re a fan of modern dining with a touch of elegance (and VERY insta worthy), this place is about to become your go-to. We have already planned our next visit!

From its chic décor to an all-day menu packed with wholesome, beautifully looking, and flavour-filled options, EL&N London is set to impress.
Situated inside Fenwick’s department store, EL&N exudes a stylish, yet laid-back atmosphere, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The warm, inviting space instantly made us feel comfortable with its light colours, modern lighting, cute neon signs, and greenery.

The café offers an impressive menu featuring everything from brunch classics to signature mains and decadent desserts. And when I say decadent – I really mean it. We got to try a selection of their drinks, savoury dishes, and sweet treats, and let me tell you—it was all a hit.
We started with the Ombré Passion Fruit Cooler, and it quickly became my new obsession. No exaggeration. Refreshing and tangy, it was the perfect balance of sweet and tart.
The Strawberry Chemex Mojito followed, and it was ‘berry’ delightful with its fresh, fruity punch. It was probably the most strawberry-tasting drink I have ever had, and Ryan agreed. It was delightful.
Moving on to something a little more indulgent, we had the Pistachio Spanish Latte. The rich, creamy pistachio flavour tasted delicious, without being overly sweet. It also had a little almond flavour too, which was lovely.

And if you’re a fan of a decadent breakfast, the Nutella French Toast is an absolute must-try—soft, fluffy, and generously topped with warm Nutella, it was a little (huge) slice of heaven on a plate. The fruit toppings added a little tartness, and it was just gorgeous.

For something savoury, we enjoyed the Mushroom & Cheese Melt Cube. And I am choosing my words wisely here because we really enjoyed this. It was actually my highlight of the night —a square-shaped pastry filled with gooey cheese and earthy mushrooms. This savoury delight is an absolute must-order if you’re into melted cheese goodness. I will 100% be having this again, next time I am in town.

We also couldn’t resist trying the Caesar Salad, which just happens to be my favourite salad, and it did not disappoint. Crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy super thin toasted croutons, and generous shavings of Parmesan tied together by the creamy Caesar dressing. It was fresh, delicious, and exactly how a Caesar should be—another thing I will definitely be going back for.

For dessert, we were treated to the Pistachio & Rose Cake. This could possibly be the nicest cake everrrrrrr. It was SUPER light – my fork just glided through the fluffiest layers as I was cutting it (which Ryan captured on video so check out the reel below), fragrant, and had the perfect balance of nutty pistachio and delicate rose flavour. It reminded me of the pastries we had in Paris, it was just beautiful. A lovely way to end a delicious meal.

Even though we had sampled quite a generous selection of sweet and savoury treats, there are still so so so many options on the menu we need to go back for and sample as they all look divine, and I just can’t wait to go back.
