Authentic Jamaican cuisine at Lev’s Delivery
This place has quite a reputation for amazing Jamaican food, and believe me when I say I was VERY excited to try it!

Lev’s Delivery absolutely lived up to its reputation as we tried a range of authentic, super flavourful dishes.
My particular favourites were the shredded jackfruit, rice and peas, and the fried plantain (which we had many, many times since). We also got to try the special of the week, which happened to be the second addition to Lev’s classic British winter warmers series—the Caribbean hot pot—a dish similar to a traditional hot pot but with Lev’s delicious twist.

Every single thing was just so tasty! As a fan of spicy food, I find Lev’s dishes to be perfectly seasoned to satisfy my taste for spice without being ‘hot’. So whether spicy food is your thing or not, I am pretty sure you will enjoy Lev’s dishes.

I can’t say we used to eat much Jamaican food before, but since we’ve discovered Lev’s, we have been back and back and back again because it’s just so delicious!

Convenient location at Stack Seaburn
It is also super handy that they have a stall at Stack Seaburn, so whenever we’re there (which is quite often), we will usually pop by. There’s always parking available at Stack Seaburn, and the nearest train station is Seaburn Station, which is about a 15-minute walk from Stack Seaburn.
Why we love Lev’s
Whether you’re a Jamaican food fan or new to Caribbean flavours, Lev’s Caribbean Kitchen offers a great reason to explore this cuisine. From traditional favourites to innovative fusion-twists, there’s something for every taste. And every option really is tasty!
Tips for visiting:
- Sit in options available at the Stack and take away available at their Newcastle branch.
- Sometimes the plantain isn’t featured on the menu, but if you ask for it, they make it for you. I would definitely advise trying it as it is some of the best plantain I’d had.
Best for: Caribbean, Jamaican, Fusion flavours, Newcastle takeaway, Stack Seaburn
