Best for: Persian food, grilled dishes, authentic Persian cuisine, mixed grills, generous portions
Recently we popped in to Rose Restaurant to try their Persian cuisine. I am a fan of Persian dishes; I love the use of spices, grilled dishes, rose flavour desserts, and you always get huge portions – always a plus!

Our menu highlights at Rose Restaurant
We started with a trio of light starters – Salad Olvieh, Hummus, and Grilled Aubergine. The aubergine was smoky and soft, a perfect contrast to the creamy hummus and the rich, herby potato salad.

For mains, I went for the Cupra (Sea Bream) – grilled whole and marinated in lemon, olive oil, and herbs. This might just be one of the best fish dishes I’ve had. Soft, flaky, sweet and citrusy – it completely melted in my mouth. Served with rice and fresh salad, it was clean, fresh, and really delicious. The kind of food I really enjoy – it isn’t just tasty, it makes you feel good afterwards too.

The Mixed Grill for One was little other choice: juicy lamb chops, tender chicken fillet, and a skewer of minced lamb, served with warm naan bread and fluffy rice. Perfectly seasoned and grilled. And another great portion.

And just when we thought we were done, a plate of Persian rose cookies arrived. By that point I was super full, but I had to have a little taste – and once I tasted it, I HAD TO finish the whole cookie. It was super unexpected – the flavour of rose was just gorgeous. One of my most favourite flavours. A delightful way to end the meal.

If you’re looking for some fresh Persian cuisine, give Rose Restaurant a try.
