Everything you need to know about Lane7 Newcastle
If you’re looking for night out ideas in Newcastle, Lane7 offers boutique bowling, retro games, and cocktails—all under one (neon lit) roof. We popped in for an evening of friendly competition last week and as always at Lane7, we’ve had a great night.

What to expect when visiting Lane7 Newcastle
If you think bowling is just for kids’ birthday parties, Lane7 is here to change your mind. It’s bowling, but way more stylish and way more fun than what we’re used to. Neon lights, upbeat music, and a lively crowd that’s here for a good time (the place is ALWAYS busy!). But it’s not just bowling. There’s also pool tables, retro games, beer pong, and even crazy golf at some locations. It’s the perfect place for a night out that’s got something for everyone.
What’s on the Lane7 drinks & food menu
Lane7 has a great selection of cocktails, beers, and bar snacks. We grabbed a mix of cocktails and beers; the frozen strawberry daiquiri was the highlight for me.
They also have some non-alcoholic options for the designated drivers (why do I always volunteer for this?!)

Is Lane7 worth visiting? Here’s my honest review
- Lively, and perfect for a night out
- A mix of groups, couples, and work nights out—never feels too samey
- A good drinks selection
- The lanes are modern, well-kept, and they also have some shorter lanes for a more casual play

If you’re after a night out that’s a little different from the usual, Lane7 is a winner. It’s fun and has enough variety to keep everyone entertained.
Would we go again? Absolutely. We’ve been quite a few times now and it’s always been a good night!
