Trying a Korean-inspired feast at Grounded Kitchen
Grounded Kitchen is a fairly recent addition to the food scene in Metrocentre, but it has already gained a reputation as a go-to spot if you fancy something quick and delicious, but nutritious and hearty at the same time.

So many menu choicesβ¦
When we visited, I found the menu to be really impressive and took my time deciding what to order, as everything sounded very appealing. We tried a variety of dishes, including:
- Prawn Udon Noodle Bowl (thick, chewy udon noodles, rich broth, tender prawns, fresh vegetables. A flavourful and really satisfying dish thatβs perfect for a comforting meal)
- Korean Wings (crispy and coated in a tangy, spicy sauce with a hint of sweetness)
- Gochujang Salmon Bao Bun (tender salmon in spicy-sweet gochujang sauce, tucked inside a soft, fluffy bao bun. Honestly some of the nicest baos Iβve had in a while)
- Salmon Rice Bowl (loaded with delicious salmon on a bed of fluffy rice, topped with fresh veggies and a flavourful sauce that ties it all together)

Each dish was impeccably prepared and beautifully presented. The food actually exceeded my expectations; I imagined it would be nice, but the flavours were amazing. Everything was perfectly umami and had such deep and complex taste.

Exceptional drinks
The biggest surprise for me was the drinks, which were not your usual restaurant optionsβwe tried the Pistachio Frappe, and the Gold Turmeric Latte, both with coconut milk. Honestly, the best hot drinks I’ve had for a long, long time.

Since that first visit, I havenβt been able to walk past this place without popping in to grab a superfood latte (the activated charcoal one is my current favourite); theyβre always warming and a little spicy but in the nicest way. Absolutely delicious!
A Must-Visit
The presentation of each dish was as impressive as its taste, adding to the overall dining experience. Whether you’re a fan of Korean cuisine or exploring it for the first time, Grounded Kitchen is a great place to visit. The food here is both satisfying and moreish, and above all β delicious.

The fresh ingredients, delicious flavours, creative presentation, and exceptional drinks really exceeded our expectations. If you find yourself a little peckish in Metrocentre, pop inβI am sure you will not regret it!
